Whether you know Chloë from her modelling/designing work or performances in films such as, Kids, Boys don't cry, American psyco and Gummo ( just to name a few), for years and years she has always been seen as the face of the cool and the alternative. In 1994, a young Chloë Sevigny, aged just 19, was named "the coolest girl in the world", by the New Yorker, and 21 years later I think she still lives up to that reputation. The new release of her book features hundreds of iconic/never been seen images which look at her life. From her childhood in Connecticut to her as a grungy, hipster teenager, as well as images of her now as a Hollywood trendsetter and actress. From the Polaroids, zine pages, and notes from her personal planners it is made to feel really personal and authentic. The images and style of the book instantly draw my mind to the kind of 'cool kid' Tumblr pages you can find online, many of which often blog and reblog photos of Chloë everyday. I think it will definitely be a book that will be making its way into my own 'coffee table collection'.CHLOË SEVIGNY: STILL COOLER THAN EVER
